The Youngcare Simpson Desert Challenge returns 9 -19 May 2013!

CSSP is pleased to be helping Ben Canniffe, of Deluca Corporation - - a long term Cheops customer, in working towards raising the required target of $35,000 in order to participate. These funds will go towards assisting 7,500 young Australians with high care needs receive dignified, relevant and age-appropriate care and housing.

Peter Knights, our Client Manager, has great respect for Ben in undertaking this challenge, as in 2009 he drove across the 1,000 plus sand dunes of the Simpson, which was challenging enough, without having to do it on foot!

If you want to find out more about the Challenge, please visit and more importantly if you are able to support Ben in raising the required funds, you can find his details at

22 stoic supporters will spend eight days walking over 300km across the geographical centre of the Simpson Desert to experience what life might be like for a young person living in aged care - not a "life" but an existence comprised of isolation, uniformity, restrictions and little decision-making ability.

It will be a daily mental and physical battle, but it is an opportunity for the trekkers and their supporters to change the lives of thousands of young Australians in desperate need.
